Flood Advisory issued July 9 at 4:31PM CDT until July 9 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes,
Lavaca and Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Seguin, Cuero, Gonzales, Floresville, Yoakum, Luling, Kenedy,
Karnes City, Schulenburg, Hallettsville, Poth, Yorktown,
Shiner, Stockdale, Flatonia, Moulton, Kosciusko, Nixon, La
Vernia and Waelder.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
