Description
The York County Economic Alliance in partnership with the York Builders Association Workforce NOW Foundation and the York County Planning Commission are proud to announce the opening of the of the York County Residential Training Program. This program is made possible through funding from PA DCED Whole-Home Repairs Program and the County of York.
This pilot program, offered at no cost, will equip participants with fundamental skills essential for thriving in the construction sector. This course provides a robust foundation in safety, mathematics, tool usage, construction drawings interpretation, carpentry, weatherization and material handling. Training tools, safety equipment, training materials, and snacks/meals will be provided for all participants. Assistance with purchasing safety shoes, transportation, and computer access is available if requested.
Participants must be resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at least 18 years of age, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Instruction
July 10 through August 13 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 4:00pm - 7:00pm
OSHA 10 Certification
Friday, July 27, 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturday, July 28, 8:00am - 3:00pm
First Aid/CPR Certification
Saturday, August 2, 8:00 am - 11:00am
