Description
Flash Flood Warning issued July 1 at 11:36AM EDT until July 1 at 2:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1136 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain 7 miles northeast of Apollo, or 7 miles east of
Vandergrift, moving east at 20 mph. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Monroeville, Indiana, Jeannette, Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum,
Murrysville, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township,
North Versailles, White Oak, Arnold, Irwin, Brackenridge, Manor,
Trafford, Ford City, Delmont and Leechburg.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
