Description
Flash Flood Warning issued July 1 at 11:30AM EDT until July 1 at 1:45PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1130 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain over Wilmerding, or near Monroeville, moving
east at 10 mph. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Monroeville, McMurray, McKeesport,
Canonsburg, Gastonville, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin,
North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Hampton Township,
Scott Township and Wilkinsburg.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
