Description
Flood Warning issued July 1 at 2:33AM EDT until July 1 at 5:30AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Lancaster and Lebanon.
* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 231 AM EDT, Local law enforcement continue to report water
rescues in the warned area. Flooding is ongoing. Between 4
and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional light rainfall is possible in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lancaster, Ephrata, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Lititz,
Millersville, Willow Street, Mount Joy, Manheim, East
Petersburg, Cornwall, Akron, Leola, Salunga-Landisville,
Denver, Maytown, Reamstown, Rothsville, Mountville and
Marietta.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
