Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 30 at 11:25PM EDT until July 1 at 12:15AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1123 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Mount Joy to East Petersburg to Safe Harbor, moving
east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Lancaster, Ephrata, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Lititz, Millersville,
Willow Street, Mount Joy, New Holland, Manheim, East Petersburg, and
Akron.
This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 269 to 295.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Flash flood Emergency is in effect for much of Lancaster County
until 245 AM EDT.
