Flash Flood Warning issued June 30 at 11:10PM EDT until July 1 at 2:15AM EDT by NWS State College PA

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Eastern Adams County in south central Pennsylvania...
York County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 215 AM EDT.

* At 1110 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
0.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
York, Hanover, Weigelstown, Parkville, Red Lion, Spry, Dallastown,
Hampton, Shiloh, East York, Stonybrook-Wilshire, West York,
Littlestown, Shrewsbury, Codorus, Grantley, Valley Green, Tyler
Run-Queens Gate, McSherrystown and Valley View.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
