Description
Flash Flood Warning issued June 30 at 10:22PM EDT until July 1 at 12:30AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1022 PM EDT, Local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring
with several water rescues ongoing in Manheim Township.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Lancaster, Harrisburg, Lebanon, Hershey, Ephrata, Colonial Park,
Elizabethtown, Columbia, Progress, Lititz, Middletown,
Millersville, Willow Street, Mount Joy, Palmyra, Steelton,
Manheim, Annville, Hummelstown and East Petersburg.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
