Extreme Heat Watch issued June 20 at 2:02AM EDT until June 25 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...A prolong heat wave is expected, with record-setting
afternoon temperatures and little relief overnight, creating
hazardous conditions. Heat index values are projecting to range
from 100F to 105F
* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, northwest, southwest, and
western Pennsylvania, and northern and the northern panhandle of
West Virginia.
* WHEN...From Sunday morning through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
