Latest update from Peco.

The weather tonight caused extensive damage to their electric system and impacted service to customers. You can visit their website to report outage. You need either your account number or phone number associated with your account to report.

Peco wants everyone to know they have crews who will work round the clock to restore service to every customer. They currently do not have an estimate on when service will be restored for all. They are saying tonight this will be a multi day restoration effort.

We are asking you to continue to attempt to enter your outage into their system

If you have any issues with power lines that are down and sparking please call 911 and emergency services will respond. Please do not touch wires as you should assume they are live.

If you or anyone you know have special medical needs please call 911. Please check on your neighbors.

We have seen a power company truck tonght in the borough and are hoping more are coming.

Please note that some borough services will be impacted tomorrow. Due to the large number of trees and branches that are down, could delay trash and recycling collection. Our PW staff will be working to get the borough cleaned up throughout the night. The pool does not have power as well as the facility sustaining some damage could affect operations. Some of our parks have trees down and we are asking everyone to avoid these areas until we can assess. Our main priority is roads and facilities Borough Hall also does not have power currently We will provide an update on Borough Hall operations for Friday in the morning.
