Drone Warning – Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) in Effect For US Open
In conjunction with the FAA, a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) has been established over
Oakmont Country Club for the duration of the U.S. Open.
TFR Details:
• Location: Oakmont Country Club
• Radius: 1 nautical mile from the center of Oakmont
• Altitude: From ground level up to 1,000 feet
• Effective: Entire duration of the U.S. Open
Important Notice:
Operation of drones (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) within this restricted airspace is strictly
prohibited. Violations of this TFR will be subject to enforcement actions by the FAA and
cooperating law enforcement agencies on-site.
If you are visiting the U.S. Open this week, or reside in the local area, you are strictly prohibited
from operating a drone within this restricted airspace.
