Flood Watch issued June 8 at 4:50PM EDT until June 8 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Pennsylvania, including the following areas,
Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Higher Elevations of Fayette,
Higher Elevations of Westmoreland, Washington and Westmoreland and
northern West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern
Preston, Eastern Tucker, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Ridges of
Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston and Western Tucker.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The combination of saturated ground and the potential for
heavy rain with showers and thunderstorms, creates a risk for
flash flooding.
