Flood Watch issued June 6 at 3:06AM EDT until June 7 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...The Berkshires of western Massachusetts and the Capital
Region, Helderbergs, northern Taconics and all of Columbia,
Schoharie and Greene Counties of eastern New York
* WHEN...From noon EDT today through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- With a humid air mass in place, repeated rounds of showers
and thunderstorms with heavy downpours on Friday will lead to
an increased risk for flash flooding. Urban, low lying and
poor drainage areas will be most susceptible to flooding.
