Description
Flash Flood Warning issued May 31 at 2:54AM EDT until May 31 at 5:15AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 254 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated that heavy rain was falling
as the Perkiomen Creek at East Greenville went into flood stage.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Gauges reported.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

For Perkiomen Creek at East Greenville:
At 2:45am the stage was 5.16 feet.
Flood Stage is 5 feet.

For Little Lehigh at Trexlertown near Little Lehigh Creek:
At 2:15am the stage was 3.0 feet.
Flood Stage is 4.5 feet.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
