Special Weather Statement issued May 30 at 4:14AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 414 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Taylor to near Stinson Municipal Airport.
Movement was southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park,
Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Seguin, Cibolo,
Converse, Universal City, Taylor, Live Oak, Buda, Lockhart, Selma,
and Elgin.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
