Description
Attention: Due to the high number of problems with residents getting weekly large items picked up by republic, we have negotiated with republic establish a new process for large item pickup
1. Residents will now starting today, call West York Borough with a request for a large item pickup. Requests for the week must be received by 3pm Monday.
A. Requests can be made via phone at 717-846-8889
B. Emailed to largeitempickup@westyorkpa.gov
C. Made in person at the Borough Administrative Office
2. The borough will contact republic and notify the resident of the day of the pickup.
A. The Borough will collect at phone, cellphone or email address for notification
3. Residents will place the large item in the front of the property for pickup
4. Items placed on the sidewalk/front of the property without contacting the borough will be in violation of our property maintenance codes
5. Failed pickups, the residents will contact West York Borough at 717-846-8889
The borough will be able to better track issues of failed pickup. We will also be able to better monitor performance issues withthe contract with republic to ensure you are getting what they said they would deliver or provide.
