Special Weather Statement issued May 24 at 3:32PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
At 332 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Lake Helen, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Deltona, DeLand, New Smyrna Beach, Orange City, and Lake Helen.
