Flash Flood Warning issued May 18 at 9:29PM CDT until May 19 at 12:30AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Denton County in north central Texas...

* Until 1230 AM CDT.

* At 929 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across Denton County. Radar estimates up to 2 inches of
rain have fallen this evening with rainfall rates of 1.5 inches
per hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, The Colony, Corinth,
Highland Village, Trophy Club, Lake Dallas, Sanger, Lake
Lewisville, Little Elm and Prosper.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
