Description
The following is the updated restriction schedule information for the SR 376, A79 Parkway West Preservation Project.
All work is weather dependent and any changes or updates to the schedule will be distributed accordingly.
Starting TONIGHT – Monday, May 12th through Friday May 23rd – I-79 to I-376 WB Overnight Ramp Closure (see attached press release):
• Ramp closure of the I-79 Southbound to Westbound I-376 (Parkway West) Ramp to occur starting Monday, May 12th to Friday, May 23rd, nightly 9pm to 5am, as needed (weather permitting).
• Crews to conduct bridge barrier repairs, joint cleaning and sealing, and bridge deck and approach slab crack sealing work.
• Traffic will be detoured as follows:
o Continue south on I-79
o Take the Carnegie (Exit 57) exit
o Turn left onto West Main Street
o Turn right onto the ramp to I-79 north toward Erie
o From northbound I-79, take the ramp to 376 West toward the Airport (Exit 59B)
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Ongoing restrictions as follows:
Continuing through Saturday, June 14th – Boyce Road Long-Term Closure (press release previously sent)
• Long-Term Closure of Boyce Road (Route 3041) between the On-Ramp to Eastbound (inbound) I-376 (Parkway West) and Campbells Rund Road, continues around the clock through Saturday June 14th(weather dependent).
• Crews are conducting repair work on the I-376 structures over the roadway.
• Traffic detoured as follows: North of Boyce Road: Follow Campbells Run Road northbound, Turn left onto Ridge Road, Follow Ridge Road back to Boyce Road. South of Boyce Road: Same detour in the opposite direction
• The ramp at Boyce Road will remain open.
• Ramp improvement work, requiring a long-term closure, will begin in mid-June. Additional details will be provided in advance of the work.
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Continuing through mid-June – I-376 Single Lane Restrictions
• Single-Lane Restrictions in both directions on I-376 (Parkway West) between the Rosslyn Farms (Exit 64B) and the Route 60 Crafton (Exit 60B) interchanges will continue through mid-June, weeknights 9pm to 5am, as needed (weather permitting).
• Crews are conducting concrete shoulder patching, concrete bridge barrier repairs, drainage improvements, and sign structure work.
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Please also be aware of the following adjacent I-79 Parkway to Route 60 Project restrictions implemented as follows:
TONIGHT - Monday May 12th & Tuesday May 13th – I-79 Ramp Closure (press release previously sent)
• Full Ramp Closure of the ramp from Eastbound I-376( Parkway West) to I-79 Northbound will occur weeknights, 7pm to 6am according to the following schedule, (weather permitting):
o Monday, May 12
o Tuesday, May 13
• Crews to conduct joint sealing operations.
• This work was originally scheduled between May 5-7 but has been adjusted due to inclement weather.
• The ramps to southbound I-79 toward Washington (Exit 64A) will remain open to traffic
• Traffic will be detoured as follows:
• Take the Interstate 79/Erie/Washington (Exit 64A) exit
• Take the southbound Interstate 79 ramp toward Washington
• Take the Carnegie (Exit 57) exit
• Turn left on West Main Street
• Turn right onto the northbound I-79/Erie ramp
• Follow northbound I-79 to the I-376 interchange
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Weekend Restrictions – I-79 SB Lane Restriction (press release previously sent)
• Single Lane Restriction on I-79 Southbound between the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A/B) and the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchanges are anticipated for the following weekends and are to be implemented 9am Friday through 6am Monday (weather permitting):
o Friday, May 16 through Monday, May 19
o Friday, May 30 through Monday, June 2
o Friday, June 6 through Monday, June 9
• Crews to conduct concrete patching operations.
• No work will occur Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26 due to the Memorial Day holiday.
• These restrictions are weather dependent and additional details will be provided regarding any changes to the above schedule.
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Continuing through Mid-May – Single Lane Restrictions
• Single-Lane Restrictions in both directions on I-79 between the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A-B) interchange and approximately one-half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A-B) interchange AND on I-376 (Parkway West) between the I-79 (Exit 64A) interchange and the on-ramp from I-79 will continue as needed through mid-May, weeknights 7pm to 6am (weather permitting).
• Crews to are conducting patching, grinding work, rumble strip and raised pavement marker installation, bridge deck grooving, pavement markings, and highway lighting upgrades.
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
Continuing through Mid-May – Route 60 Single Lane Restrictions
• Single-Lane Restrictions in both directions on Route 60 Steubenville Pike between Lorish Road and Old Steubenville Pike will continue through mid-May, weeknights 7pm to 6am, as needed (weather permitting).
• Crews are conducting curb and joint sealing, guide rail repairs, delineator installation and other miscellaneous items.
• Please use caution when proceeding through the work zone.
