Flood Watch issued May 13 at 4:15AM EDT until May 14 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Adams, Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon and
Somerset.
* WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A prolonged period of moderate to heavy rain is expected
today and tonight. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are
likely, with locally higher amounts possible along the
eastern slopes of the Alleghenies. This rainfall may lead to
scattered instances of flooding.
