CRAFTON BOROUGH POWER OUTAGE UPDATE
A few homes in Crafton Borough remain without power due to downed trees and wires. Please note: If the storm damaged the connection from your home to the power lines in the street and you are still without power, you may need to have that connection repaired by an electrician.
Please be advised:
• Crafton Public Works is NOT permitted to remove trees that are in contact with downed power lines
• County Public Works crews, despite offering assistance to municipalities, are also NOT authorized to remove trees touching downed wires
• Duquesne Light crews are actively working to remove affected trees and restore power
• Duquesne Light is still reporting that power restoration is expected to be completed by the end of the day tomorrow.
For residents dealing with food spoilage and storm debris, dumpsters are available at:
• Behind the Stage on Afton Avenue
• Borough Building Parking Lot
We appreciate your patience as crews work to safely restore service to all affected areas. Please check on elderly neighbors and those with medical needs during this time.
For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergency assistance, contact the Borough Office at 412-921-0752.
We will provide additional updates as they become available.
