Description
Flash Flood Warning issued May 6 at 12:21PM CDT until May 6 at 2:30PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 1221 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooded low water
crossings along Old Spicewood Springs Road in Travis County as well
as County Road 123 at Brushy Creek and Ridgmar Road at Brushy Creek
in Williamson County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Taylor,
Granger, Serenada, Windemere, Anderson Mill, Leander, Hutto,
Lakeway, Lago Vista, Hudson Bend, Bartlett, Liberty Hill, Jarrell,
Weir and Georgetown Dam.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
