Description
Flood Advisory issued May 6 at 11:12AM CDT until May 6 at 2:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Travis and Williamson.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1112 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville,
Taylor, Granger, Windemere, Anderson Mill, Leander, Hutto,
Lakeway, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, Hudson Bend, Bartlett,
The Hills, Rollingwood, Weir and Mansfield Dam.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
