Description
Flash Flood Warning issued April 21 at 10:03AM CDT until April 21 at 11:15AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
At 1003 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
Additionally, HFD has reported multiple water rescues within the
warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is ongoing.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pasadena, Pearland, League City, Sugar Land, Baytown, Missouri
City, Friendswood, La Porte, Deer Park, Stafford, South Houston,
Bellaire, Seabrook, Galena Park, Jacinto City, Webster, Manvel,
Greater Hobby Area, South Belt / Ellington and Greater Eastwood.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
