Red Flag Warning issued April 12 at 8:55AM EDT until April 12 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
...Elevated Fire Danger Today Across East Central Florida...
The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EDT
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA... Brevard, Indian River, Okeechobee, Orange,
Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties.
* WIND...North-northwest around 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph to 25
mph.
* HUMIDITY...25 to 35 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag
Warnings.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
