Description
Flood Warning issued April 4 at 7:39AM EDT until April 4 at 10:30AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Pennsylvania, including the
following counties, Greene and Washington and the northern
panhandle of West Virginia, including the following county, Brooke.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding from 1 to 2
inches of rainfall overnight. It will take a few hours for all the
water from the earlier rain to work through local drainage systems.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 736 AM EDT, emergency management reported ongoing road
flooding in Greene County, with road closures along Route 18
in particular. Some minor flooding was also reported in
Eighty Four in Washington County, and other small streams and
roads in the warning area are also likely to experience
flooding this morning.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McMurray, Washington, Canonsburg, Waynesburg, Avella,
Gastonville, California, Wolfdale, McGovern, Bentleyville,
East Washington, Fredericktown-Millsboro, Jefferson Boro,
Fairdale, Baidland, Houston, Ellsworth, Rogersville, West
Finley and Claysville.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
