Flood Watch issued March 26 at 1:24PM CDT until March 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Several rounds of heavy rain are likely to cause flash
flooding across the Coastal Plains area. Rainfall amounts of 2 to
4 inches within the Flood Watch area with isolated amounts up to 6
inches possible.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Atascosa, De Witt, Gonzales, Karnes, Lavaca and Wilson.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Abundant Gulf moisture combined with a slow moving storm
system will bring the potential for multiple rounds of
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Rain has
begun and expected to intensify and expand for the rest of
this afternoon and continue through Friday. May be lulls or
light rain periods at times.
