Special Marine Warning issued March 16 at 1:54PM EDT until March 16 at 2:45PM EDT by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM...
Coastal waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 NM...
Tampa Bay waters...
Waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 to 60 NM...
Waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 to 60 NM...

At 154 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 17 nm northeast of
Yankeetown to 36 nm west of Anclote Key, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
vessels, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all on
board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets.
Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure
all on board are wearing life jackets.

Locations impacted include...
Ozello, Crystal River, Clearwater Beach, Bayport, Yankeetown, Indian
Rocks Beach, Dunedin, Hernando Beach, Clearwater Pass, Port Richey,
Anclote Key, Indian Shore Reef, Cedar Key, Aripeka, and Tarpon
Springs.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for northern and
west central Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.
