Red Flag Warning issued March 15 at 1:36AM CDT until March 15 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

...GUSTY WINDS AND VERY DRY AIR FROM STRONG WEST WINDS WILL
RESULT IN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY INTO EARLY THIS
EVENING...

.Strong west winds and very low humidities are expected over
South Central Texas today resulting in critical fire weather
conditions across all areas. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to 45 mph will coincide with minimum RH values of 10 to 15
percent from late this morning through early this evening. Winds
are forecast to diminish after sunset.

* AFFECTED AREA...All South-central Texas counties.

* TIMING...From 10 AM this morning to 9 PM CDT this evening.

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will rapidly increase in size
and intensity, move quickly, and be very difficult to control.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
