Red Flag Warning issued March 8 at 2:27AM CST until March 8 at 8:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

...BREEZY AND DRY BEHIND A COLD FRONT SATURDAY WILL RESULT IN
CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS...

.A cold front will move through South-Central Texas from west to
east today between now and mid-afternoon. This boundary will
bring much drier air and breezy northwesterly winds. Relative
humidity will drop below 20% from the western Hill Country,
southern I- 35 Corridor, and western Coastal Plains to the Rio
Grande. Winds will be 15-25 mph with higher gusts up to 30 mph
during the afternoon and early evening. This will result in the
likelihood of critical fire weather conditions.

* AFFECTED AREAS...Western two thirds of South Central Texas

* TIMING...From noon today to 8 PM CST this evening.

* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop may rapidly increase in size
and intensity, move quickly, and be very difficult to control.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
