The City of Taft stands in solidarity with the City of Sinton and its residents who have suffered tremendous losses in yesterday’s devastating fires, which tragically destroyed more than 17 homes. Our hearts go out to all those affected.
To support our neighbors in their time of need, the City of Taft will be setting up a donation collection station at City Hall to gather essential supplies for the residents of Sinton who have lost everything. We will be accepting clothing, canned goods, and other essential items through next Friday. The city will make multiple trips to deliver the donated supplies as contributions continue to come in.
We thank our citizens in advance for your generosity and kindness during this difficult time. Your support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted.
Additionally, we extend our deepest gratitude to our Taft Volunteer Fire Department for their hard work and dedication in battling these fires and always answering the call—not just for our city, but for our neighboring communities as well. Your service is truly invaluable.
