Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued February 27 at 9:02PM EST until February 27 at 9:30PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 902 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northeast
of Weirton, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Quarter size hail and 45 to 50 MPH wind.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Moon Township,
Weirton, Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Robinson Township, Economy,
Bellevue, Kennedy Township, Ambridge, Stowe Township, McKees
Rocks, Crafton, Coraopolis, Toronto, Avalon, Sewickley and Ingram.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
