Extreme Cold Warning issued February 19 at 10:51AM CST until February 20 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 2 degrees below.
* WHERE...The Hill Country, Edwards Plateau, I-35 Corridor, and
portions of the Coastal Plains and Rio Grande Plains.
* WHEN...Until noon CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
