Cold Weather Advisory issued February 18 at 1:32PM CST until February 19 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts
up to 35 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold
wind chills as low as 9 above expected. For the Extreme Cold
Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 7 above expected.

* WHERE...Bastrop, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and
Travis Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory and Cold Weather Advisory, from
midnight tonight to noon CST Wednesday. For the Extreme Cold
Warning, from midnight Wednesday Night to noon CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to
hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
