Special Weather Statement issued February 17 at 5:59AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 559 AM EST, an area of heavy snow was located over West Liberty,
moving east at 30 mph.
Locations impacted include...
Wheeling, Steubenville, Washington, Uniontown, Moundsville,
Canonsburg, Connellsville, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville, Bellaire,
Waynesburg, Cadiz, Warwood, Wellsburg, Bethlehem, West Liberty,
Triadelphia, Avella, Clearview, and Valley Grove.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Ohio between mile markers 212 and 225.
Interstate 70 in West Virginia between mile markers 0 and 14.
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 40.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 5 and 45.
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this intense
snow shower. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the
squall passes your location.
