Description
Special Weather Statement issued February 16 at 1:47PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
At 145 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from near Flagler Beach to 6 miles west of Pine Island.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, and DeLand.
Those attending the Daytona 500 are in the path of this line of
showers and can expect increasing gusty winds and rain.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
