Description
Flood Warning issued February 16 at 1:11PM EST until February 16 at 4:30PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Pennsylvania,
including the following counties, in southwest Pennsylvania,
northeastern Allegheny and northwestern Westmoreland. In west
central Pennsylvania, southwestern Armstrong and southeastern
Butler.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. There are currently evacuations going within the flood
area along Buffalo Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 111 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Butler, Vandergrift,
Kittanning, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville, Hampton Township,
Wilkinsburg, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison
Township, O'hara Township, Homeacre-Lyndora, Oakmont, Fox
Chapel, Arnold and Shanor-Northvue.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
