Winter Storm Warning issued February 16 at 3:56AM EST until February 16 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation. Total snow and sleet
accumulations between 5 and 10 inches and ice accumulations
between one tenth and three tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as
high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of western Massachusetts and east central New
York.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will continue before transitioning to a
wintry mix this morning. Gusty winds along with the weight of snow
and ice on trees could result in some downed tree branches leading
to some power outages.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
