Special Weather Statement issued February 14 at 3:03AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
At 300 AM EST, a snow squall was located over the Birdsboro area, or
7 miles southeast of Reading, moving southeast at 30 mph. This will
produce a quick burst of snow and a coating of snow, potentially
resulting in hazardous conditions for a time.
Locations impacted include...
Reading, West Chester, Norristown, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Lansdale,
West Norriton, East Norriton, Wyomissing, Downingtown, Birdsboro,
Collegeville, Royersford, Sinking Spring, Laureldale, Trappe,
Hatfield, Wernersville, Schwenksville, and Elverson.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 298 and 328.
Northeast Extension between mile markers 23 and 34.
Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 327.
Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 11.
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this snow
squall. Rapid changes in visibility and slick roads are likely.
