The Borough would like to officially thank Rep. Merski for all his efforts. Over the past year, the representative worked closely with us to identify our needs, find a suitable grant program, and help secure the funding.
As a result, the Borough was fortunate to receive grant funding for the purchase of two new police cruisers, which will replace our 2015 and 2018 models. These older vehicles are nearing 150,000 miles and have surpassed their service life.
Rep. Merski states, "Public safety is important to me because safe communities are often great places to live. We were pleased to assist the Wesleyville Borough Police Department with their state grant for two new police vehicles and equipment, saving property owners in the Borough nearly $100,000 in expenses!"
This is a significant financial relief for the Borough and eases the burden on taxpayers.
