VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will host an informational session in Volusia County to help homeowners and business owners understand how they may strengthen their properties against future hazards and access SBA loans for mitigation improvements. The in-person session will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Gemini Springs Springhouse, 37 Dirksen Drive, DeBary.
Attendees will learn about hazard mitigation funding options, proactive strategies to protect their homes and businesses, and how to apply for SBA mitigation loans. The event is open to all community members, including small business owners, homeowners, and SBA disaster loan borrowers seeking resources to enhance resilience. Residents are encouraged to preregister at www.sba.gov/event/62545.
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual session will be available from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Registration for the online session is available at www.sba.gov/event/62574.
