High Wind Watch issued January 29 at 10:07AM HST until January 31 at 4:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
* WHAT...Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Kahoolawe, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai,
Niihau, Oahu, and the Big Island Hawaii.
* WHEN...From 6 PM HST this evening through late Thursday night.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
Take precautions now to protect property. Tie down loose objects or
move them to a sheltered location.
A High Wind Watch means that strong and potentially damaging winds
in excess of 40 mph with frequent gusts over 60 mph are expected but
