* Until 1145 AM EST.
* At 1040 AM EST, the southern, leading edge of a line of dangerous
snow squalls extended from Millerton to Gaines to near Coudersport
to near James City, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than
one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

St. Marys, Wellsboro, and Mansfield around 1050 AM EST.
Ridgway, Truman, and Leonard Harrison State Park around 1100 AM
EST.
Cross Fork, Covington, and Ole Bull State Park around 1110 AM EST.
Morris, Tamarack, and Blossburg around 1120 AM EST.
Cedar Run and Hicks Run around 1130 AM EST.
Other locations impacted by this snow squall include Tioga,
Roseville, Weedville, Austin, and Liberty.
Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.
If traveling on a highway, find the nearest exit or rest area and
park safely away from traffic. Allow snow squalls to pass before
attempting to resume travel.
There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
