Freeze Watch issued January 23 at 1:28PM EST until January 25 at 8:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as
31 expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
as low as 27 expected. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 29 possible.
* WHERE...Inland Volusia and Northern Lake.
* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning and Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM
to 9 AM EST Friday. For the Freeze Watch, from late Friday night
through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops or other
sensitive vegetation.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
