Shelter from the Cold at The Bridge
on the Evening of January 22
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA – In response to the chilly forecast for the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 22, The Bridge at 421 S. Palmetto Ave., DeLand, will serve as a cold-weather shelter. Operated by The Neighborhood Center, the facility will welcome guests starting at 6:30 p.m., and they may remain until approximately 8 a.m. the next day following breakfast. In collaboration with local community organizations, Volusia County will continue tracking the weather closely and provide further announcements regarding the necessity for additional cold-weather shelters throughout the week.
