Sidewalks
Must be opened a minimum width of twenty-four (24) inches.
Snow shall not be deposited or thrown into the street.
Snow shall be removed within twenty-four (24) hours after precipitation ceases.
Property owners that have a fire hydrant located on their property are responsible for the removal of snow from around that hydrant.
When snow emergencies are declared, a two (2) hour notice will be given prior to its effective time and will remain in effect until the stated termination time.
Snow emergencies will be announced on Savvy Citizen, WGAL, and CBS 21.
Vehicles are prohibited from parking on these designated streets during a snow emergency: Main, East, Water, Constitution, Church, and West Spring from Walnut to Elm. Residents may utilize the VFW and parking lot at the top of East St across from the administration building.
Vehicles not removed will be towed at the owner’s expense.
