Extreme Cold Warning issued January 20 at 1:40PM CST until January 21 at 10:00AM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX

* WHAT...For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as
28 expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind
chills as low as 14 expected.

* WHERE...Bee, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland
Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Live Oak,
McMullen, Victoria, and Webb Counties.

* WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, from midnight tonight to 1 PM CST
Tuesday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 4 AM to 10 AM CST
Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Frost and freeze
conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and
possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
