Special Weather Statement issued January 18 at 8:49AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
Patchy freezing rain is possible this morning which could result
in slick or icy spots, especially on bridges and overpasses. If
traveling this morning, remain alert for icy spots. Leave extra
travel time and following distance, and reduce speed. When
venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs,
driveways and walkways, as these surfaces could be slippery.
Conditions should improve by late morning as surface and air
temperatures continue to rise.
