Lake Effect Snow Warning issued January 13 at 2:04PM EST until January 16 at 1:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 6 and 14 inches.
* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Tuesday to 1 AM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the the morning and evening commutes on Tuesday and
Wednesday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall amounts of 12 inches or
greatest is expected over the northeastern part of Erie County.
Snowfall rates of up to 1-2" per hour will be possible at times.
Winds gusting as high as 35 mph Tuesday afternoon near the
lakeshore.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
