Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued January 10 at 3:24AM HST until January 10 at 4:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI
At 322 AM HST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Waihee to near Hamoa, moving southwest at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Kahului, Honokohau, Haliimaile, Kipahulu, Lahaina, Wailuku, Makawao,
Paia, Keokea, Olowalu, Wailea, and Waihee.

building.
This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing wind
damage across the island of Maui. A wind gust of 60 mph was recently
measured at the Kahului Airport. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
